Original GUCCC pairing with motor No 110, Bainton.

It is believed that this boat is almost certainly the Ayr - the story is that the Ayr was supposed to have been broken up at Bull's Bridge in 1978, but the Berkhampstead was cut up instead.  The remaining boat was re-named Berkhampstead.

Spelling note - GUCCC and BW documents give the spelling as Berkhampstead (with a "p") but some books have transcribed the name as Berkhamstead.  The town itself is now known as Berkhamsted.
