Covid precautions statement dated 27 October 2021:
The continuing Covid situation, with high rates of infection, is causing us serious concerns. We would very much like the forthcoming social meeting to go ahead but feel that we need to ensure that all our members attending remain safe.
As a consequence we have decided to apply the following conditions:
Any member showing any symptoms of COVID-19 or who has had a positive test result should not attend.
Members intending to come should try and let us know in advance by text or phone message to Ros (phone number in the latest Newsletter), giving your name, membership no and how many in your party - this is so that we can arrange the seating in the hall.
Members attending should show one of the following:
- Proof of a negative NHS Rapid Lateral Flow Test (such test to be taken within 24 hours prior to attending the meeting);
or
- Proof of full vaccination - both doses received (with the second at least 14 days prior to the arrival at the meeting);
or
- Proof of natural immunity based upon a positive PCR test within 180 days of arrival at the meeting (and after the 10-day self-isolation period following the result).
Furthermore, while the wearing of masks is not compulsory in England (unlike Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland) we would nevertheless urge everyone to wear a mask when circulating within the building. If the weather is fine then we would encourage members to circulate freely outside.
We will not be serving refreshments on this occasion and the windows will be kept open during the meeting – so please dress accordingly.
An audio recording with copies of the slides will be made at the meeting and will be made available to all members after it has been processed into a format for distribution.
