Rupert became an historic boat owner in 1988 when he bought the BCN Motor, Ben. He soon joined the Club's committee as South East Rep. On moving to Staffordshire in 2000 he didn't escape as there was a need for a local rep.
Rupert is a BSS examiner specialising in historic boats, and is a technical writer for Waterways World.
He has now mastered the Gardner 4VT single cylinder in the Cowburn & Cowpar Skylark which he and Alison have been custodians of since 2008.
