Daniel has been interested in working boats, their families and canal heritage from an early age. He enjoyed weekends on his father's narrow boat, before travelling the world as a welder and engineer, then building the family's own Dutch barge. After meeting Lorraine, his wife, he realised his dreams in building and now running two marinas on the Leeds & Liverpool canal. Shortly afterwards he became the proud owner of Aynho which he intends to restore, in between visiting boat rallies and work.
