Originally intended GUCCC pairing with butty 373, Thoth. Middle Northwich, "V" bottomed with round chines, Star class.
20/12/1942 shortened by order of the Ministry of War (Transport) to 45-40' hull plus 5' ice-breaking ram. Fore end plates over-plated within, and fore end strengthened with angled stringers from stem back into the hold.
