2000-2007 In private ownership, underwent extensive renovation at Brinklow Boats. Renovation details included a wooden bottom, a wooden cabin and wooden gunnels. Where iron had to be replaced it was replaced with riveted steel. The Bolinder engine has also been rebuilt.
2004 - Dragon won HNBC's John Hemelryk Award for the most improved iron or steel historic narrow boat.
Dragon is listed on the National Historic Ships Register.
