Gort is a very rare boat. She was built in 1939 at Braunston by Frank Nurser for Samuel Barlow Coal Co and worked in their fleet until 1960. She was converted in the 1960s, mostly using oak, and was bought by Innes Catto’s parents in 1965. Innes lived on her for several years in the 1980s. She has a traditional and fully decorated back cabin with the original controls and her original Gardner 2L2 engine and gearbox. The boat was painted by Ron Hough in the Samuel Barlow livery and this has been maintained.
Complete set from issue 1 in 1972 through to 2003, all in genuine WW binders. Takes 2.5m shelf space and will need collecting from Sheffield. £25.
