From Kathryn Dodington, club Secretary:
All HNBC members are invited to join our Annual General Meeting, which was postponed from March 2020 because of the Covid-19 pandemic. Although the club is not a charity, we understand that the Charity Commission has issued guidance to charities that AGMs may be held by phone/video or other electronic means, so we are following a similar pattern.
The meeting will therefore be held using Zoom software and if you wish to take part you will need one of the following:
(a) a computer (desktop, laptop or tablet) which has a camera, or
(b) a smartphone, or
(c) an ordinary phone (mobile or landline, no camera) if you would like to listen but not watch
We hope that you will want to take part, so please send an email, quoting your membership number which is on your Newsletter address label, to firstname.lastname@example.org as soon as possible and latest by 7 November 2020 so that we can book your place and send you instructions on how to join. If you prefer to use an ordinary phone, please let me know on email@example.com by the same date and we will send you the number to call.
Adam Comerford, National Hydrology Manager at C&RT, will join the meeting to give his postponed presentation from March. We already have several questions that were submitted before our postponed meeting, but if there is anything else you would like to ask, please let me know.
