1897               Built as an iron composite steamer

                       technically a rebuild (but completely new hull) of earlier steel-hulled steamer of the same name built Saltley 2/1890

1907-1924       Leased to John Dickinson & Co Ltd and painted in their colours (with wrong Birmingham registration number 897)

23/7/1924        Converted to motor boat, with Bolinder 15hp NE type engine, at Saltley Dock, and renamed CAPTAIN

4/7/1924          Registered Birmingham No 1466

23/1/1925        Gauged BCN No 1000

24/6/1925        Gauged GJC No 12126

5/1947             Sold to Thomas Clayton (Oldbury) Ltd but probably not used

11/1947           Sold to W Holmes, renamed COLIN

1949                Sold to C W Mitchard, Coal Merchant, Tipton

c1960              Sold to Ernest Thomas, Walsall, renamed VICTORY

1962                Sold to M E Braine (Boatbuilders), Norton Canes

1963                Sold to private ownership and full length pleasure boat cabin added

1972                Shortened to 50ft at LMS Dock, Horseley Fields

1981                Lengthened to 60ft at Charity Dock, Bedworth, and name reverted to COUNTESS
